Innovative Technology - Intelligent Positioning and Scanning

The accuracy of the final bladder volume measurement value is highly dependent on the positioning of the inspected bladder. In most of the cases bladder positioning is through ultrasound images obtained during bladder scan. The current technology only provides the possibility to judge the accuracy of the located bladder centre after scan.

In expert mode, the accuracy is dependent on users’ capability to read the ultrasound image. In easy mode, the instrument generates a couple of simulated bladder images during scan. Users have to scan bladder couple of times till the biggest section is found. Medical expertise and experience play important role in finding the correct bladder centre and getting accurate results.

In order to simplify the process and improve the result accuracy, we have developed a new mode of operation to locate the bladder centre during pre scan more accurately. We name it Intelligence Mode as shown in figure 3 below.

Main Differences between Intelligence Mode and other Modes

Expert mode or Easy mode Before bladder scan, users have to pre scan the bladder to locate the biggest section and ensure bladder centre has been found first. However it is not alway easy to locate the biggest section. In some cases users have to pre scan the bladder couple of times till the centre is located.
Intelligence mode Real-time bladder projection positioning before bladder scan. This means bladder centre can be quickly and accurately located during pre scan. It saves users’ effort to look for the biggest bladder section and locate the bladder centre. The result accuracy becomes fully independent from user experience or medical expertise.

Key Advantage of Intelligence Mode

In expert and easy mode, the bladder volume calculation is based on the bladder centre from the biggest bladder section obtained during pre scan. However the so called "biggest bladder section" is an unquantified index which is influenced by user’s knowledge and experience. This could lead to inaccurate calculation results.

The intelligence mode uses three-dimensional scanning technology to quickly and accurately position the bladder centre during pre scan. Users no longer need to repetitively pre scan the bladder to search for the "biggest" bladder section. This greatly saves effort and time of users and relieves the calculation results from unquantified index. During operation users only need to follow the arrow direction or move the probe to the centre of the crosshairs appeared on the screen. The result accuracy is dependent neither on users' experience nor on the way of use.

Wireless Transmission Technology

Wireless transmission technology makes operation of the device easier and quicker. APP developed for smartphone and IPad has laid the foundation for internet health data platform.

We upload patient record and disease information to hospital data platform or government authorised health data online platform in real time through APP or computer. At the same time, we use multiple password settings to protect the privacy of patient data.
